Director of Tax & Financial Planning | Chief Financial OFficer

Marc Verdi joined Godsey & Gibb in August 2013. As the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, Marc oversees the firm’s Accounting & Financial Reporting department and is a member of our Executive Management Team.

Marc maintains his responsibilities as the firm’s Director of Tax & Financial Planning. In this role, Marc works closely with Godsey & Gibb’s clients and Wealth Management Advisors to provide proactive tax planning, tax compliance, and financial planning services.

Marc began his professional career in 1998 and specializes in income taxation and personal financial planning for high-net-worth individuals, as well as estate, gift, and trust taxation. Marc received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce, with a Concentration in Accounting, and his Master of Science in Accounting, both from the University of Virginia. Marc is a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Marc is a member of the AICPA, the Virginia Society of CPAs, and the Financial Planning Association, and has previously been selected as a “Super CPA” in the area of Personal Financial Planning in Virginia Business magazine.
